Analysis of Website. - Primary Product Research

The Channel 4 IT Crowd website has lots of different activities and pages leading off of it, such as a game, a quiz, watch the episodes on 4oD and behind the scenes. These would be useful so that people who have never seen the show before could watch little bits of it to see if they would be wasting their time. The page also give someone the experience of exploring the basement which the TV show is filmed in online. This is a good way to attract the IT Crowd audience to the website, because they could virtually walk around the set that they all know.
Another C4 Microsite that is similar to The IT Crowd microsite is the Fresh Meat page. On this site are similar things like, 'Explore the house' which would be the Fresh Meat version of 'Explore the basement'. Most of the channel 4 show's websites look really similar so you would always automatically know that the programme is being shown on C4. The traditional '4' is always on the page somewhere so that you'd know that C4 are the distributors of this show.


The Fresh Meat webpage has a bit less than The IT Crowds website but still has some similar aspects. The Fresh Meat page has 8 hyperlink pictures. These pictures take you to different parts of the site that fan would most likely love, such as: an online tour of the Fresh Meat house that is in the show, the Facebook fan page, episode guides, episode previews and interviews with the cast and crew.
